My take on Slow Cooker Granola

There are lots of recipes for making granola in slow cookers. I’m giving it a go making up my own ingredient mix…





5 cups puffed millet
1 cup rolled wheat-free oats
1 cup buckwheat flakes
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 handfuls of almonds chopped
1 cup shredded coconut


2 tsp cinnamon ground
1 tsp cardamom ground
1/2 tsp of ginger ground
3/4 cup of honey & agave syrup together
3/4 cup of coconut oil
Put dry ingredients into slow cooker on low temperature.
Melt the coconut oil if necessary, otherwise mix all the wet ingredients together in a small bowl, then pour over the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly, then prop open the slow cooker lid with wooden spoon handle of similar. Stir every 30 minutes for 2 hours.
Spread out on baking trays to cool/dry. Store in air-tight container.
